    Horseshoe Lake is, as its name suggests, a horseshoe-shaped lake picturesquely set in Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Horseshoe Loop Trail provides an easy hike around the small lake, with connections to many other trails and direct access to the south parking lot in the main preserve entrance.
