The South Bay Historical Railroad Museum, operated by the South Bay Historical Railroad Society (SBHRS), is a railroad museum consisting of three major areas - the historic buildings, railroad artifacts, and operating scale model displays. The museum is set in the historic Santa Clara Depot with various structural parts built between 1863 and 1877, making it a great place to learn how historical railroad depots operated while watching modern trains run up and down the still active railway. Museum visitors can also view the collection of railroad artifacts, some of which date back to the 1870's and earlier. The museum also features a large operating N-scale and HO-scale model railroad display. Entrance is free of charge.
