    Description

Waddell Beach is a large sandy beach at the mouth of Waddell Creek known around the world as one of the great spots for windsurfing and kite surfing due to the strong and steady northwest winds and good surf. Visitors looking for a more relaxing day at the beach can still find enjoyment watching the aerial acrobatics of the wind and kite surfers while hanging back on the beach. Regular surfing and boogie boarding are also popular because of the strong surf. Waddell Beach is part of Big Basin Redwoods State Park and offers access to the coastal end of this large state park.
