The 739 acre Fremont Older Open Space Preserve, named after Fremont Older, a prominent San Francisco newspaper editor who owned a portion of the land, is set beautifully in the western foothills of Saratoga, California. Approximately 14 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails wind through the hills in the park and take visitors to inspiring locations such as Maisie's Peak, Hunter's Point, Seven Springs Canyon, and more. Mountain bikers can extend their ride by taking the Coyote Ridge Trail and hikers can take the Lookout Trail to Stevens Creek County Park.
