    Description

    The Observation Deck at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is the highest point in the park at 805 feet and provides unparalleled 360 degree views of the surrounding Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterey Bay. The observation deck is an easy 1 mile round trip hike, bike ride, or horseback ride with 250 feet of elevation gain and drop from the campground, or a more moderate 5 mile round trip hike or horseback ride with 600 feet in elevation gain and drop from the park's headquarters and main parking lot.
