    Description

Pogonip is a 640 acre park on the urban fringe in Santa Cruz featuring 11.5 miles of trails winding through a landscape of open meadows, shady woodlands, and babbling creeks. Although most of the trails are only open to hiking, there are 2 very important trails that are multi use also open to biking and horseback riding - the U-Con Trail and Emma McCrary Trail. The U-Con Trail connects Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to Wilder Ranch State Park via University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) upper campus. Dogs are allowed on certain trails on-leash only.
