Portola Campground

Situated under the redwoods in Portola Redwoods State Park, Portola Campground provides the seclusion and relaxation of the mountains with hiking trails nearby. The campground offers 55 family campsites, four of which are walk-in campsites not located within the main campground. Hot showers (quarter operated), restrooms, and drinking water faucets are scattered throughout the campground. Only 5 sites are suitable for RVs, and even then the length is limited to 24 feet, and there are no hookups or other RV related amenities. Although dogs are not allowed in most areas of the park, they are allowed on-leash in the campground and Upper and Lower Escape Roads that start at the north end of the campground.
