The Harriman Trail is an 18 mile gravel trail following the Big Wood River and Sawtooth Scenic Byway, alternating through spacious meadows, aspen stands and lodgepole forests, with scenic vistas of the Boulder Mountain Range. Starting just 8 miles north of the resort town of Ketchum at the Sawtooth National Recreation Area Headquarters, and ending at Galena Lodge, the Harriman Trail is not one to miss when traveling to the area. In the summer, it's a hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding mecca, but come winter, it's a cross country skiers paradise.
