    Description

The Fall Creek Unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is a second growth redwood forest with 20 miles of hiking and equestrian trails centered around a fern-lined river canyon. Open for day use only, this area was historically a successful lime processing plant that served an important role in supplying the much needed lime necessary to help rebuild San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. Free parking is available on Felton Empire Road just west of Highway 9 in Felton, California.
