Zmudowski State Beach, located just north of Moss Landing, is a long sandy beach more remotely located than other beaches in the central Monterey Bay area. Walking, horseback riding, birdwatching, and surf fishing are popular activities at this beautiful beach. The beach is bordered on the north by the mouth of the Pajaro River. Per California State Parks, anglers can fish for perch, kingfish, sole, flounder, halibut, bocaccio (tomcod), jacksmelt, lingcod, cabezon, salmon, steelhead and occasional rockfish.
