    Description

Recreational opportunities are abundant at this historic ranch just north of Santa Cruz, California. Over 35 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails sprawl out over 7,000 from the ocean to the top of Ben Lomond Mountain. The 1840 adobe and Victorian farmhouse are well preserved on this working dairy farm. Extend the excursion by connecting with Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park via the trails on the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) campus. A paved multi use trail connects the park's headquarters to West Cliff Drive's paved ocean-front trail.

I agree! I usually start on the highway 9 side and ride through twin gates at the top and down to the ranch for a break then I ride back to my car. It is a good ride and luckily Felton is close by so I can grab a burrito from Taqueria Vallarta or a sandwich at Wild Roots Market

This is one of my favorite places to mountain bike ride in the Santa Cruz area! The views are amazing and there are endless routes and combinations of trails to ride or hike, from fast paced fire roads to exciting single tracks. Plus you can connect with the UC Santa Cruz trails to extend your ride even farther. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
