Centrally located for adventures in Zion National Park, Watchman Campground is close to the park's South Entrance and a short walk to the main Visitor Center, Zion Nature Center, Zion Human History Museum as well as popular trails like The Watchman Trail, a moderate trail that ascends the peak behind the campground; the Archeology Trail, which offers a light hike to an archeological site; and the Pa'rus Trail, a paved walking and biking trail that runs alongside the river, and the only trail in the park that allows dogs. The campground is the largest in the park and has 190 campsites, of which 18 are walk-in only tent sites, 69 are tent only regular sites, and 6 are wheelchair accessible sites. There are also 6 group sites that can accommodate groups up to 40 people each. There are no full hook-up sites available in this campground, but there are sites with electric hookups and a dump station with potable water.
