More than 300 plant families, deriving from Mediterranean climates around the world, can be found at the 135 acre University of California Santa Cruz (UC Santa Cruz) Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Many of the species of plants growing withing the Garden are not otherwise available for study in American gardens.
