Trail Ridge Road, Rocky Mountain National Park's heavily traveled highway to the sky, covers 48 miles between Estes Park and Grand Lake and is one of the best ways to view the Continental Divide as it winds through the Rocky Mountains. Built between 1926 and 1932, Trail Ridge Road is the highest paved through-road in the United States, reaching 12,183 feet elevation at the summit.
