The building that started San Francisco! First established in 1776, the Presidio Officers' Club is San Francisco's most historic building, whose adobe walls reveal the area's deep Spanish roots. Throughout the 20th century, the Officers' Club was an exclusive gathering place for the top Army brass and their families. Today it serves as a free museum and cultural center dedicated to the history of the park and its inhabitants. The Officers' Club sits at the top end of the Main Post within The Presidio of San Francisco and is close to many other Main Post attractions including the Visitor Center, Walt Disney Family Museum, and Presidio Lodge.
