South Campground is ideally located for adventures in Zion National Park, close to the park's South Entrance and within walking distance to the main Visitor Center, Zion Nature Center, Zion Human History Museum as well as popular trails like The Watchman Trail, a moderate trail that ascends the peak behind the campground; the Archeology Trail, which offers a light hike to an archeological site; and the Pa'rus Trail, a paved walking and biking trail that runs alongside the river, and the only trail in the park that allows dogs. The campground has 117 RV and tent campsites, including 4 group sites that can accommodate groups up to 15 people each. There are no hook-ups available in this campground, but a dump station with potable water is available for campers. South Campground has three flat, wheelchair accessible sites but no accessible facilities such as restrooms or trails. Head over to the Watchman Campground to utilize accessible restrooms if necessary.
