Sespe Hot Springs is a rock-lined natural hot spring in the Sespe Wilderness of Los Padres National Forest in Southern California near the city of Ojai. Since it's located within a wilderness area, the only ways to get to the hot spring are by hiking or horseback riding. There are three different trails to access Sespe Hot Springs - the Sespe River Trail which is rated as a moderately difficult 16.8 mile hike one way with numerous river crossings, the Alder Creek Trail which is 7.5 miles one way and still rated as moderately difficult, or the 9.5 mile Johnson Ridge Trail which is rated as difficult. Those who take on the adventure to Sespe Hot Springs will find numerous campgrounds along the way, and can also make the side trip to Willett Hot Springs.
