    Description

San Bruno Mountain stands as a mountain landmark in an area dominated by urban population, running in an east-west orientation from Daly City to Brisbane on the San Francisco Bay. San Bruno Mountain State & County Park encompasses 2,416 acres of rugged terrain, with elevations ranging from 250 feet to 1,314 feet at the summit. The most popular activity in the park is hiking, but family picnic areas and a grassy field for informal play are also offered. Dramatic vistas can be found along almost all sections of trails within the park, while the summit offers the most spectacular views of Mt. Diablo to the east, Mt. Tamalpais to the north, and west to the Farallon Islands.
