    Description

This popular beach along the Big Sur coast is well visited partly for the white sand beach and partly for the scenery of the rugged coastline. Once you get down the narrow 2 mile road from Highway 1, Pfeiffer Beach is only a short walk from the day use parking lot (please note, day use fee applies), so bringing all your beach toys and picnic goodies is a fairly easy task. Some of the most notable features of Pfeiffer Beach are "Keyhole Arch" rock, the purple sand at the northern end of the beach, and the sunsets.
