    Description

Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition to show the world how San Francisco had risen from the ashes of the 1906 earthquake as a world class city, the Palace of Fine Arts is a unique landmark in the Marina District adjacent to The Presidio of San Francisco. Bring a camera, as this is one of the most photographed locations in San Francisco. Stop in to view the Greco-Roman rotunda and colonnades, explore the immaculate landscaping, and watch swans drift across lagoon. Parking is available along Palace Drive and in a parking lot off Palace Drive and Girard Street.
