    Description

Known as "the crookedest street in the world", Lombard Street is one of San Francisco's most popular attractions. The brick-paved street features 8 hairpin turns with slopes up to 27 degrees and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Not only is the street crooked and steep, but it features nice scenery with manicured Russian Hill neighborhood mansions on either side. Lombard Street technically extends from The Presidio to The Embarcadero, but the crookedest portion is between Hyde Street and Leavenworth Street.
