    Description

The largest of the Santa Clara County Parks, Joseph D. Grant County Park offers hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders over 51 miles of trails spread out over 10,882 acres of grass-covered, rolling hills studded with majestic oak trees. Reminiscent of the ranching days that once took place at the park, cattle still graze in certain areas and equestrian use is extremely popular. Shaded picnic areas are available on a first-come first-served basis and large group picnic areas are available by reservation. Anglers can enjoy fishing at Grant Lake or any of the other smaller ponds in the park. Visitors looking to stay more than a day can camp at one of several campgrounds within Joseph D. Grant County Park, including an equestrian campground.
