    Description

With a summit elevation of 3,619 feet, Fremont Peak is the main attraction in Fremont Peak State Park, offering 360 degree views of the Monterey Bay, Salinas Valley, San Benito Valley, and Santa Lucia Mountains east of Big Sur. Hikers can enjoy amazing views on any of the 4 miles of trails encircling the park and leading to it's summit. The park also offers primitive and group camping, picnic areas, and an observatory offering stargazing programs on certain nights of the year. Please note, because of the windy road to the top of the mountain, trailers or vehicles over 25 feet in length are not recommended.
