Buckeye Campground provides a quiet camping experience in Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The campground is on Buckeye Creek and is shaded by Jeffrey and Lodgepole pines. Hiking abounds around Buckeye Campground, including along Buckeye Creek into the nearby Hoover Wilderness and Eagle Creek to the flanks of Eagle Mountain. Buckeye Hot Spring is a short walk away just east of the campground. Fishing in Buckeye Creek offers different kind of fishing experience to get away from crowds. Buckeye Campground is generally open in late May to late September, weather and condition permitting. No drinkable water available.
