A mile long sandy shoreline on the west side of The Presidio of San Francisco, Baker Beach is arguably one of the top beaches in San Francisco, partly for the natural beach experience and partly for the setting and scenery. Visitors find that the amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Pacific Ocean, Marin Headlands, and Lands End never get old. The beach offers BBQ grills and picnic tables for those family and friends gatherings. Don't forget to bring layers, and possibly a blanket, as the weather tends to stay on the colder side of the scale. For those looking to get a full tan on the days when the fog departs and sun is shining, head on over to Marshall's Beach where clothing is optional. If time allows, stay for the amazing sunsets.
